Inn at the Tides - Whenever I
long to see the sea and take a drive along the coast, I head out to Bodega
Bay where I usually end up at The Tides. Here, I can sit and watch the fog
laden bay with seagulls circling, an occasional seal popping its head out
of the water, the smell of fish, the taste of chowder, and if I time it just
right...fish and eggs, my favorite breakfast. It is usually quiet here and
I have time to think about nothing in particular. Just clear the mind and
delve deep into the ancestral memories of crossing the sea to get to the new
world in the first place. Have a shrimp louie, oyster crackers, and a couple
of shooters. Ahhh, seafood...
